Taijiquan Fundamentals with Ryan Craig

Taijiquan (aka Tai Chi) is an ancient Chinese form of martial arts that develops both external and internal strength, for years practitioners have been turning to Taijiquan for benefits like improved heart health, reduce inflammation, increased muscle strength, balance and stamina and to lower levels of depression, stress, and anxiety. This workshop will focus on the fundamental aspects of Chen Taijiquan which will include standing, silk reeling, an introduction into form work, and some push hands exercises.

Ryan Craig is a dedicated practitioner and teacher; he has over 20 years of experience in martial arts. He spent over a decade studying That Son Dan Vo Dao (Seven Mountain Spirit Fist Kung Fu), a Vietnamese style of Kung Fu where he received his red sash (Junior Master). Next, he discovered the Chen Taijiquan system. After devoting himself to this form of Taiji for many years, he has earned his certification to teach.

Ryan studied for many years under the late Sifu Michael Rosario Graycar where he recieved his teaching certifaction. Ryan continues to train and has worked with high level teachers such as Chen Xiaowang, Chen Xiaoxing, Chen Bing, Chen Ziqiang and Ren Guang Yi. Ryan is also currently studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Workshop cost is $40 the week of or sign up for the early bird price of $30 by 7/15.
